Living Well with MS – a mindfulness-based approach to living with MS and to caring for someone with MS (a Breathworks course)

Living with a long-term health condition such as MS can give rise to a lot of mental and emotional stress. This course teaches the skills of Mindfulness, which helps to deal with these stresses so that they are not so overwhelming. We will develop skills such as being in the moment, using the breath to become calmer and cultivating kindness towards ourselves and others. Regular practice of mindfulness develops better coping strategies, emotional resilience and a calmer mind. The course is also open to anyone who cares for someone who has MS. Participants are asked to commit to a daily practice of 30-40 minutes a day for the duration of the course, in order to get the most benefit from the course.
It's highly recommended that you purchase Mindfulness for Health by Vidyamala Burch and Danny Penman, published by Piatkus.

Please note that this course may count as a pre-requisite for Breathworks Teacher Training.
