One-to-one Sessions

If for reasons of distance, mobility/health or preference you can't attend a group course, then individual classes in mindfulness give you the chance to learn mindfulness in a way that's tailored to your circumstances. You'll have the benefits of personal attention and support, a flexible approach to the structure of the sessions and detailed feedback and discussions around your practice.

Or it may be that you have some experience of mindfulness and would like one or two sessions to refresh your practice, or there's a particular aspect of your practice that you're struggling with and would like some help with.

Fidelma has taught mindfulness, compassion and loving kindness to groups and individuals for stress, anxiety, chronic pain and long-term health conditions, and for general well-being. 

One-to-One Mindfulness takes place in Oscailt Health Centre, Dublin 4. If mobility is a problem, it may be possible to do one-to-one mindfulness in your home, which would incur a small extra fee.

Here are some suggestions for taking one-to-one mindfulness:

- An introductory 'taster' session of one hour, with optional follow-up session
The best way to find out about mindfulness is to do it! In this session, you get an introduction to mindfulness meditation and to everyday mindfulness, as well as a brief explanation of what mindfulness is and how it works. You get a meditation CD or mp3 file, and notes to take away, as well as suggestions for how to incorporate mindfulness into your life.
Cost: €70.00 for one 60 min session; €120 for one 60 min session plus one 60 min follow-up session.

- A refresher session of one hour
If you already have experience of mindfulness, then you'll know that sometimes your practice drifts and is less regular, or your practice can become a bit stale, lacking in engagement and inspiration. Here, you have an opportunity to talk about your practice and how to re-engage with it. We'll explore what inspires you to practice, as well as practical approaches to re-establishing your practice.
Cost: €70.00 (includes a meditation CD/mp3).

  • Build Self-Confidence and Self-Compassion
These 4 session courses will give you the foundation to learn how you can engage with mindfulness and compassion to live your life more fully, whether by lessening stress, becoming more confident, living more peacefully with ill-health or chronic pain, or coming to know yourself more fully and more deeply. 
Cost: €250.00 (normally €280.00). Includes meditation CDs/mp3s and weekly notes.

- Take an established mindfulness course on a one-to-one basis

  • Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
  • Mindfulness for Health (Breathworks)
  • Mindfulness for Stress (Breathworks)
  • Loving Kindness
If you can't take a group course, don't worry - you can do the course on a one-to-one basis, with the option of joining a group for a few hours' practice during the time you're taking the course. These are all well-established, highly-regarded courses, that Fidelma has been teaching regularly in the last six years. 
-6 week course, €380.00 (normally €420.00). Includes meditation CDs/mp3s and weekly notes. For the Breathworks courses, it's recommended that you also buy the book of the course. 
-8 week course, €490.00 (normally €560.00).Includes meditation CDs/mp3s and weekly notes. For the Breathworks courses, it's recommended that you also buy the book of the course.
To attend the optional group practice costs €20.00.

- Weekly sessions
You may prefer to simply attend sessions week by week and pay as you go. The advantage of this is that you have greater flexibility in terms of how many sessions to attend and what times; the disadvantage is that without advance booking you cannot always be sure of getting the times you want.
Cost: €70.00 per session

One-to-One Mindfulness by phone or on-line

If distance or mobility/health is an issue then doing mindfulness classes by phone or on-line is a great way to learn mindfulness in your own home. The cost is €50 per session.

Special offer on Follow-up One-to-One Mindfulness Sessions

If you've done 3 or more individual mindfulness sessions with Fidelma in the past few years, then a follow-up session is really helpful to:

  • re-connect with your mindfulness practice if it's waned
  • re-motivate yourself 
  • adjust your practice to any lifestyle changes that may have occurred since 
  • learn more about mindfulness and compassion

The cost of a follow-up sessions 
is reduced, as follows:

€55 for a 60 min session (reduced from €70)
€80 for a 90 min session (reduced from €100)
